Since 1975, the Florida State University System (SUS) along with the state’s public universities’ admissions directors have offered free workshops around the state for area guidance counselors. During these events Directors explain admissions philosophies, policies, and procedures so that counselors can better meet the needs of their university-bound students. The annual event also includes a Question and Answer session.
The 2012 State University System of Florida Admissions Tour was held at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) in Boca Raton on August 29th.
As part of the Admissions Tour, the SUS provides a annual matrix with helpful admissions-related information pertaining to the various Florida SUS schools. These institutions include: University of Florida (UF); Florida State University (FSU); University of Central Florida (UCF); Florida Atlantic University (FAU); University of North Florida (UNF); University of West Florida (UWF); Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) and Florida A&M University (FAMU).
Matrix information for each of the Florida SUS schools includes: Location; Enrollment; Admission Plans; Mid-Range SAT & ACT Scores for Fall 2012; SAT and ACT Policies; GPA Recalculation Methodology; Honors Programs; Graduation Rates; Student Aid; Top 3 Undergraduate Majors.
