SAT and ACT Optional Schools

A number of colleges and universities have elected to put less emphasis on standardized test scores in their admissions process.   Some schools that have made the submission of SAT and ACT scores optional have admitted significant numbers of applicants who elected not to submit their scores.   Certain colleges and universities exempt students who meet certain GPA and other criteria. It is important to check with each school’s admissions office to learn about specific admissions requirements.

Based on InLikeMe’s research, below are some U.S. colleges and universities that do not appear to require applicants submit SAT or ACT test scores.   Check with each school’s admissions office for current policy and specific requirements. Be sure to read the fine print because rules can differ for in-state and out-of-state applicants and for those seeking scholarships.
