National Advisory List of Student Contests and Activities

The annual National Advisory List of Student Contests and Activities is an excellent way to learn about extra-curricular activities, special programs and enrichment opportunities, some of which can lead to prestigious awards and potential scholarships.

Each year, the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), through its National Committee on Student Contests and Activities, publishes a comprehensive list designed to provide principals, teachers, parents, and students with information regarding participation in a wide variety of programs and activities.

Programs that meet the National Advisory List guidelines, as determined by the committee, are included in the annual National Advisory List which is published each September.

The list contains more than one hundred activities including: Mathematics Competitions, Essay Contests, DECA, Leadership Programs, Science and Engineering Fairs, Language Contests, Forensic Science Conferences and Literary Publications.  Also included are Awards for Community Service, Arts, Writing, Speech, Music, Debate, and Academic Subjects.

More information and a copy of the current list can be found at: http://www.nassp.org/
