Florida State University is a public space-grant and sea-grant university in the Florida panhandle with a number of highly ranked academic programs among the 200 on offer. With almost 40 institutes, centers and labs like the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, Reading Research Center and the FSU Coastal and Marine Laboratory, students can work with 2,000+ faculty members on a range of areas of research as undergraduates. The flagship university in the State University System of Florida, Florida State University attracts students from all over the state, the country and the world. FSU has a nationally recognized international program that sends almost 2,000 students to study abroad every year and hosts study centers of its own in London, Florence, Valencia and Panama City. Students love their Seminoles, and follow their teams and the largest collegiate marching band in the world, the Marching Chiefs, all over the country to support them.

Student Life Florida State University is a large school with no shortage of activities on campus. Crenshaw Lanes has been operating as a bowling alley on campus since 1964. The Student Life Cinema and Club Down Under provide great entertainment options as well. There are a number of registered student organizations, a large intramural sports program and one of only two collegiate circuses in the country, the Flying High Circus.
